The Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk, Te Urewera, is a popular 46km
3 or 4 day walk which is enjoyed by visitors from overseas as well as New Zealand families. The full length of the track is shown as well as the side-trip to Lake Waikareiti and other local walks. The lake is popular with fishermen so some fishing information is also shown on the map. This fourth edition is at a larger scale and shows the boundaries of Te Urewera and adjacent reserves. The Manuoha Circuit north of Lake Waikaremoana provides a three day tramp for independent trampers who want a more isolated experience.
